Please could everyone check and keep an eye on the Marahau Camp updates. Thank you so much to all the offers of help and food donations. We are desperately short of parent help and won't be able to go without enough helpers.
Well done to the following students who have all moved up a level in LIVE MATHLETICS!!!
Jacs, Kane, Annabelle, Brendan, Jack W, Nova, Siggi, John Paul, Isaiah, Jack P, Mehalah. FANTASTIC WORK! This afternoon we have been learning about keeping safe on the water and the rules when we are out fishing. We can write stories about what we have learnt today. The St Jo's student who writes the best story will win a fishing rod! You can join the Hiwi the Kiwi club at www.hiwithekiwi.co.nz for a other chance to win a fishing rod!
On Friday we went to Hawaii with ANZ Get Wise. We all made good choices about ways to spend our money on our holiday including not using credit cards because of the bank costs on credit cards and ensuring we had travel insurance in case anything went wrong. We learnt ways to spend our money wisely and the importance of saving our money. Two raffles each for the first two students who comment with their name on this post.
We are at the Suter Art Gallery viewing a selection of the amazing artworks from the 2012 Adam Portraiture Awards. We are drawing our own portraits taking care to draw our facial features in the correct position on our face.
We have started our 'myself' puzzle pieces today and already they are looking fabulous. We are really thinking hard about how we can be original and our piece stand out. Remember to look around home for things you can add to yours. Perhaps some material or buttons to add texture and of course some photos of your family members.
With the Inter-school swimming sports only weeks away we had to get straight into our Senior Swimming Sports. A great effort by everyone.
